Tell me, when was the last time you spoke to your King?
Fear and trembling should be our proper responses before the One who controls all creation, we read it Jeremiah 5:22. The presence of God provides comfort in times of trouble or anxiety, Joshua 1:5. The downcast seek Him and find encouragement and strength to praise Him, Psalm 42:5. The presence of God can be glorious and terrible at the same time because He is Holy, He is loving but judgmental against all sin, we see this in Romans 11:22. We cannot pick and choose only the parts of God we love. Also in Acts 5:1-11, when Ananias and Sapphira lied about their donation.
His presence is essential because without we are empty tins. The bible says in Him we live we mover and have our being. We must submit to His will for us in obedience. It is in the presence of God through quiet prayer that one can experience a supernatural state though we cannot reach by ourselves but through the Holy Spirit, our soul enters into peace, a sense of closeness to God as though it is one with Him in unison. It is a deep connection that words cannot explain. One is unable to move but rests in the absolute heavenly glory; there is considerable joy and, the soul becomes aware of this deep satisfaction. Also, one is spiritually filled with no desire for anything else, this to me is the foretaste of heaven a place a want to be forever, almost like you are not in the world and have no desire to see or hear anything except the King of Glory. It is better not to move in this state, all pain disappears without any desire for one's self is left. But Just to sit!
Although our feelings may reveal real pain at times, we should not be driven by our emotions when it comes to our trust in God. Because Scripture says the “just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17 and," without faith, it is impossible to please God", Hebrews 11:6. We do not have to feel God, know He is there, but I understand how you feel if you find yourself discouraged or perhaps surrounded by all the negative challenges of daily life, it seems like God is not around. Unanswered prayer, a series of disappointing events, or a betrayal by someone close to you can cause you to think that God has checked out of your life. Perhaps we have become so busy with the cares of the world that we are left feeling guilty of not doing enough for God; remember God has promised He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) and have full assurance in His truth.
How to experience His presence
However, you may feel that God is not around because the two of you have not talked in a while. Confess to God what is in your heart and mind and ask Him to give you an ear to hear His voice again 1John 1:9.
The Bible, which is God’s word, is living and active and, "sharper than any two-edged sword" Hebrews 4:12. Read the word of God until you sense His presence and power. Repeating the truth from God’s word will eradicate your negative thoughts and renew your mind of all that seems contrary to your thinking. In Psalm 23 and Deuteronomy 31:6 the Lord has sung over me numerous times, it is a favourite.
God inhabits the praises of His people. Worship Him with hymns or praise songs because you will no longer focus on yourself or the problem. When we open our heart to Him He comes in to meet us.
But Scripture says there is power in the name of Jesus because "Salvation is found in no one else and there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved". Say, Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Until you feel the power in His name.
Sit in the presence of God or take a walk and talk to Him about the problems rather than calling a friend first, then God last. Remove the noise from the environment.
We all endure seasons of life that challenge our strength and yes, even our ability to evaluate our own emotions accurately. Sometimes we need help separating fact from fiction, truth from lies. While most of these seasons or conditions are temporary, do not wait too long to seek help, either through a wise friend or trusted Christian counsellor if your negative emotions persist.
There is ease when we leave from the presence of God, you go through trials differently by way of quick recovery, and you become a joy carrier.
Prayer
I pray that you will know that He to Whom you are praying is very near to you and will not fail to hear you. And as you truthfully praise Him and reverence His name that there will be a supernatural increase of affection and desire to that you will never forsake His presence and service. In Jesus name Amen.
